Returns & Exchanges Overview
The UCCS Campus Store reserves the right to determine the validity of all returns and exchanges.
TAAP Charge Refund Policy:
- You must opt out on or before Census Day each semester to have the TAAP charge credited to your account
- TAAP is non-refundable after Census Day
- For classes 2 weeks or less, course materials are non-returnable
TAAP MERCHANDISE RETURN/REFUND DEADLINES:
Returning TAAP Materials (Opt-Out or Dropped Courses)
- All TAAP materials must be returned within 7 business days of the opt-out or course drop date
- Items must be in original condition
- Shrink-wrapped items must remain sealed
- If items are not returned or are returned damaged, you are responsible for the retail cost. If not paid, the charge will be applied to your student account
Unreturned Item Charges Are Applied:
- Fall: First week in October
- Spring: First week in March
- Summer: First week in July
Condition Requirements:
- Undamaged
- No liquid damage
- No torn or missing pages
- No markings
- Packaging must be unopened where applicable
Shipped TAAP Orders
If you received a damaged or defective item, contact Customer Service Center and log in to communicate with support.
Marketplace/Akademos Purchased Course Materials:
If you decide to opt out of TAAP and purchase your course materials via Marketplace/Akademos:
- The UCCS Campus Store does not process these returns
- Visit Akademos Marketplace Returns page for assistance.
GENERAL MERCHANDISE RETURNS/EXCHANGES:
Return Timeframes
- General merchandise: 14 days
- Required supplies: 7 days (unopened, sealed)
Non-Returnable Items



- Clearance items
- Gift cards
- Special order or customized items (unless defective)
- Graduation/Regalia items (exchange allowed for size or color issues only)
PPE (Lab Supplies)

- PPE items (lab coats, gloves, goggles) are non-returnable if opened
- Lab coats may be exchanged if unopened
- Goggles and gloves are non-exchangeable
DEFECTIVE OR DAMAGED ITEMS
- Credit/Debit purchases are refunded to original payment method
- Cash or no receipt refunded as a UCCS Campus Store gift card
