All refunds, returns and exchanges require that you
have your original UCCS Bookstore receipt

Textbook Return/Refund Guidelines:

Fall/Spring/Summer Semester Courses:

1. Full refund*: with receipt, within 1 week from the date of purchase, and in original condition.

2. Full refund*: with receipt, past deadline, in original condition, class dropped, with approval by text manager.

3. Full refund*: with receipt, past deadline, in original condition, class not dropped, appeals form is approved by committee.

4. Store Credit**: no receipt, before or after drop/add census date, in original condition and appeals form is approved by committee.

5. New textbooks must be in new selling condition, free from any marks or other signs of wear, and if originally shrink-wrapped, the shrink wrap must still be intact. All accessory items (CD, information cards etc.) originally included must also be returned undamaged. 

Interim Courses:

Classes greater than two weeks and up to six weeks in length: Returns are permitted with receipt, within the first two days of class (regardless of when the class begins and/or books purchased), in original condition.

Classes two weeks or less in length: Books are non-returnable.

Software:

Software is returnable with receipt, within five days if unopened or if the software is defective.

Electronics/Computer Supplies:

Calculators: Returnable with receipt and must be in the original package, sealed, with all literature. If opened, exchange only for identical item.

Electronic/Computer supplies: Returnable within fourteen days if unopened and accompanied by original receipt. If opened, exchange only for identical item.

Merchandise:

Merchandise is returnable within fourteen days, with receipt, in original, resalable condition. Defective merchandise returned with original packaging will be exchanged for the identical item. All items on CLEARANCE are considered final sales and may not be returned.

SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS, STUDY AIDS, TEST PREPARATIONS, CLIFF NOTES, BARCHARTS AND COMPUTER BOOKS ARE NON-RETURNABLE UNLESS DEFECTIVE AND THEN MAY ONLY BE EXCHANGED FOR THE IDENTICAL ITEM.

GIFT CARDS:
        Gift cards are not redeemable for cash and expire one year from the date of purchase.

*Full Refund: Refund amounts are returned in the same tender as purchased. Purchases made with cash or check will be refunded in cash. ALL purchases made with a credit card are refunded back to the same card that was originally used, regardless of debit or credit status.

**Store Credit: Refunds allowed without receipt and with Bookstore appeals committee approval will be refunded in the form of UCCS Bookstore credit, expiring within a year.
